Job summary

Vallivue School District is seeking a Health Tech to support the School Nurse in the Health Office. The role involves a wide range of healthcare and clerical tasks, including medication management and health screenings.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a strong interest in working with students, staff, and the public. CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration training are encouraged; CNA/MA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the School Nurse, perform a wide variety of healthcare and clerical tasks in the school Health Office.
• Assist with routine health screenings.
• Assist with the administration and management of medication.
• Administer minor first aid and call EMS when indicated.
• Follow Vallivue protocol and policy.
• Follow the guidance provided by the School Nurse.
• Complete designated skilled-care tasks such as g-tube feeds and catheterization.
• Maintain open communication with the School Nurse.
• Perform Health Office clerical duties.
• Inventory and restock supplies and equipment.
• Provide other related services as assigned.
