Job summary
South Washington County Schools is hiring a Health Care Specialist (LPN or RN) who will care for student health, injuries, and illnesses. This role involves working closely with medically fragile students, utilizing technical nursing skills under the guidance of a Licensed School Nurse.
The ideal candidate will have current nursing licensure, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong communication skills. This position is open until filled, offering a salary from $25.35 to $34.12 per hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Must have current licensing by the Minnesota Board of Nursing as an LPN or RN.
- Ability to interact positively with all ages of people.
- Skills/experience in Windows-based computer software.
Responsibilities
- Administer first aid, emergency, and episodic care per nursing licensure.
- Assist Licensed School Nurse in planning services for students with special needs.
- Maintain confidential health files for students; restrict access to staff as needed.
