Job summary

The Independence School District is seeking a Health Services Office Personnel to provide skilled office operations for its Health Services Programs. The role ensures health screenings, wellness policies, and activities are carried out efficiently.

Responsibilities include managing office tasks, customer service, recordkeeping, budgeting assistance, and coordinating health events, under the Director of Health Services. CPR/First Aid and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; secretarial training preferred.
• Experience as receptionist/secretary preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Typing/keyboarding skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Able to lift 20–30 pounds and reposition up to 150 pounds.
• Experience in school or public health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs various office management tasks.
• Operates computers, copiers, office machinery and equipment with a high degree of skill.
• Responds in a timely manner to informational requests.
• Assists Director of Health Services with budgeting, requisition and bookkeeping tasks.
• Maintains records and reports necessary to document health service goals.
• Orders materials and supplies as requested by Director of Health Services.
• Assists in clinics during times of short staffing.
• Maintains daily clinic logs of visits to health clinic by student or staff.
• Compiles and submits weekly/monthly reports as determined by the Director.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
