Job summary
Virginia Beach City Public Schools seeks a Resource Nurse to lead the health services within the assigned school sites. You will supervise clinic staff, administer medications, and coordinate health programs in partnership with the Coordinator of Health Services.
The role requires an Virginia RN license, 5+ years of nursing experience, and may prefer a BSN with pediatrics or emergency care exposure. A valid driver's license is required, and the district offers comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensed as a RN in Virginia.
- Resource Nurse requires 5+ years of nursing experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing and 1–3 years in relevant areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the school's health services program.
- Provide nursing care and administer medications per physician orders.
- Develop Individual Health Care Plans and 504 Plans for students.
- Plan and implement screening programs and maintain health records.
- Coordinate with home health and community agencies.
