Job summary

Qualifications

• Provides first aid and emergency care for students and staff as needed.
• Monitors student health concerns, including illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Administers prescribed medications per school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate health records for all students, including immunizations and physical exams.
• Monitor student health through routine screenings and make referrals as necessary.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff to develop individual health care plans.
• Educate students and staff on health topics such as hygiene and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations and guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students when needed.
• Stay current with medical best practices and school health trends.
