Job summary

The Bachrach Group seeks a qualified School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff in a New York school setting. The RN will assess and treat health concerns, administer prescribed medications, and maintain comprehensive health records in line with district policies.

The role requires NY RN licensure, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to manage student health plans.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate health records for all students, including immunizations and physical exams.

• Collaborate with parents and school staff to develop individual health care plans.
• Educate students and staff on health topics such as hygiene and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations and guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students when needed.
• Stay current with medical best practices and school health trends.

• Monitor student health and wellness, conducting routine screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, etc.) and making referrals as necessary.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators to develop and implement individual health care plans for students with special health needs.
• Educate students and staff on health topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal health regulations and guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students as needed.
• Stay updated on medical best practices, school health trends, and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York State.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
