Job summary

Antioch School District 34 is seeking a Registered Nurse to support student health and wellness within the school setting. The RN will address illnesses or injuries, promote health, and ensure compliance with health-related mandates, serving as a resource to students, families, and staff.

The role includes maintaining medical records, administering medications, performing screenings, and collaborating with district nurses and health agencies to sustain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• CPR–AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, treat illnesses, and provide emergency care to students and staff per standards, policy, and mandates.
• Safely store and administer medications with proper documentation.
• Maintain medical records to comply with state mandates including immunizations and health screenings.
• Perform mandated vision and hearing screenings and refer as needed.
• Report suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter.
• Coordinate with teachers, district nurses, and parents to ensure student health and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of district and health information.
• Maintain daily logs of student visits and health records and manage the health office facilities.
