Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid RN, LPN, or LVN license in the state.
• Experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or student health services preferred.
• Ability to respond to minor injuries, emergent situations, and ongoing health concerns.
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain detailed health records and protect confidentiality.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address the health needs of students daily, managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per school protocols.
• Collaborate with educators to develop health care plans ensuring learning access with minimal disruption.
• Serve as a resource for health education and wellness initiatives.
• Monitor and document health status; provide referrals to outside providers when necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute health insights for student success.
• Promote a safe, healthy environment by following public health guidelines.
