Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a School Nurse to support student health at Gainesville Intermediate Grades 5-6. You will perform assessments, screenings and care planning to minimize illness-related absences and promote a healthy school climate.

You will collaborate with families, teachers and health providers, maintain accurate records and deliver health education and emergency care in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science as required.
• Must meet state qualifications to be a school nurse.
• Experience with pediatric population desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care providers, parents, staff and community agencies.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive school health program.
• Conduct immunization, physicals, and vision/hearing screenings.
• Perform nursing assessment and provide first aid and referrals.
• Maintain records in compliance with laws and policies.
