Job summary

International Leadership of Texas Windmill Lakes-Orem High School in Houston seeks a School Nurse to implement the district health services program for students during the 2026-2027 school year.

The RN/LVN licensed professional will provide direct health care, develop Individual Health Plans, coordinate emergency care, and educate staff on health topics while maintaining confidential student records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Texas RN or LVN license current in good standing (preferred).
• BLS/CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct school health services using nursing process and IHPs.
• Assess student health issues and refer as needed; liaise with families and professionals.
• Notify parents of illnesses and coordinate emergency care.
• Develop and evaluate Individual Health Plans for medically fragile students.
• Administer medications per district policy and maintain health records.
• Lead health education and contribute to campus health curriculum.
• Collaborate with campus staff to promote a healthy environment.
• Participate in ARD meetings and advise on health-related goals.
