Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking a professional school nurse to ensure every student has access to health services throughout the day in Chicago, IL.

You will work with teachers and parents to create care plans, including medication management when needed, perform health screenings, educate on healthy habits, and help keep the school environment safe and compliant with health laws.

Qualifications

• Valid State Nursing License (RN or LPN)
• Require excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Provide basic health care to students and staff with acute or chronic health problems and in case of injury
• Conduct screenings and writing referrals for health services
• Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
• Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings
• Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
• Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
• Other duties as assigned.
