Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas Inc is seeking a School Health RN to support the school-based health program. The role involves coordinating health records, conducting health screenings, and acting as the communication bridge between counselors, teachers, and families.

Ideal candidates hold KS/OK RN/LPN/Paramedic licensure, BLS certification, and 2+ years in outpatient settings; school health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Two years’ outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Experience in a school health setting or working with children preferred.
• If float position, valid driver’s license and daily travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate completion of student health records and maintain cumulative records.
• Provide nursing support for students with identified conditions and conduct health appraisals.
• Assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, height/weight) and care coordination.
• Support emergency care and referrals to school-based health clinics or tele-med services.
• Maintain compliance with health policies, privacy laws, and district reporting requirements.
