Job summary

Adams County School District 14 seeks a Paraprofessional - Health Clerk to deliver healthcare services and maintain confidential health records in the school health office. You will assess students, administer treatments, and promote a safe and healthy school environment.

Under the district RN, you will educate students, triage health issues, and support emergency plans. CPR/First Aid are required; a medical assistant program or healthcare certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant program or relevant healthcare certification is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the registered nurse, conduct health assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to established protocols.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized health office, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized healthcare plans.
