Job summary
Anne Arundel County is seeking a Health Support Substitute to work in schools throughout the county. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will substitute for health assistants or aides as needed, perform basic health tasks, and support administrative duties.
Mileage is reimbursed and hours vary by assignment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, MBON Nursing Assistant Certificate or Geriatric Nursing Certification, and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- MBON Nursing Assistant Certificate or Geriatric Nursing Certification.
- Driver’s License required.
- MBON-approved School Health Certified Medication Technician training program.
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and administer medications as delegated by the school nurse.
- Travel mileage to various school locations is reimbursed at the county rate.
- Perform various health tasks and clerical duties as assigned; hours may fluctuate.
