Queen Creek Unified School District seeks a Health Aide to support the school nurse and provide health services to students and staff on campus. You will help administer medications, conduct health screenings, and maintain records in accordance with district policies.

Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential as you coordinate with parents and school staff and ensure safety and compliance with state requirements.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• EMT Level 1 with passing grade; or Medical Assistant course; or three-credit hour college course in First Aid.
• Applicants not employed in a health-related job within the last 3 years must complete the 3 credit hour First Aid course.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules.
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents; good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respect and maintain the confidentiality of records and communications.
• Ability to accept the limitation of responsibility; follow protocol when administering care.
• Knowledge of immunization requirements according to Arizona State Law.
• Must pass a background clearance.
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsabilidades

• Prioritize and deliver first aid and emergency care to students and staff according to District policies.
• Administer medications per parent consent and District guidelines with understanding of possible side effects.
• Perform special medical procedures (e.g., asthma treatments, diabetes monitoring, epinephrine injections for severe allergies).
• Perform and assist nurse with student health screenings (vision, height/weight, dental, pediculosis, scoliosis).
• Document treatments and parent interactions; maintain health records and confidentiality.
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials as directed by the nurse.
