Job summary

Nursing Services in Odessa, Texas is seeking a School Health Aide to support the RN and Health Services Director in daily health operations across campuses. The role includes routine record-keeping, medication administration, and basic first aid under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and a Nurse’s Aide certification (Texas preferred). It is a full-time, non-exempt role with a daily wage and extensive interaction with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School graduate or GED
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Certification of Nurse’s Aide, Texas preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• The RN is responsible for all nursing care at assigned campuses; School Health Aide assists with routine record-keeping, medication administration, and minor first aid duties.
• Health Clinic Management: provide minor emergency and illness care, administer medications and treatments as ordered, maintain supplies and equipment.
• Maintain student health records, immunizations, and nurses' log; document observations/interventions.
• Communication with families and coordination of health resources; participate in health teaching and staff meetings.
