Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a School Nurse Program Assistant to support the School Nurse in delivering health services to students. You will assist with administering care, documenting visits, and coordinating with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure student well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or HHA certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assists and supports the School Nurse with administering care or referral for ill or injured students.
• Performs documentation and student record keeping.
• Maintains correspondence with parents/guardians, school officials, and allied professionals.
• Assists the Principal and School Nurse with managing the school medical office.
• Administers and documents first aid and medications per instructions with parental consent.
• Provides emergency response as needed and refers for further care.
