Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Full-time School Health Advocate in Grand Rapids to provide direct student care under RN delegation through the School Health Advocacy Program. You will administer first aid and medications, respond to emergencies, and help families access community resources and services.

You will work with school staff and healthcare partners to promote a healthy, safe school environment, educate families and communities, and support ongoing health plans and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant health care experience.
• Certification: CRT-First Aid per AHA guidelines (90 Days).
• Certification: CRT-CPR per AHA guidelines (90 Days).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the school health office primary contact for health related needs.
• Provides direct student health care under RN delegation and school policies.
• Administers scheduled, as needed and emergency medications under RN delegation.
• Provides treatments (e.g., diabetes management, catheterization) under RN delegation.
• Coordinates health information with school staff before trips and activities.
• Communicates with RN and educational team per FERPA guidelines.

CRT-First Aid - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days
