Job summary

Barkai Yeshivah in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated professional to join our School Guidance Team supporting grades 1–5 in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates hold a PhD/PsyD in School Psychology or an LCSW, with experience in consultation, psychoeducational assessment, and intervention planning. Strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in School Psychology, or LCSW preferred.
• Experience with teacher consultation, psychological evaluation, and behavioral planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Student Support Team to address students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
• Provide short-term individual counseling for students with social-emotional and executive functioning challenges
• Facilitate small groups focused on skill-building and coping strategies
• Conduct brief psychoeducational assessments and interpret findings to support admissions and academic planning
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and outside providers to develop and implement targeted intervention plans
• Develop and implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Provide crisis intervention and school-wide support as needed
• Design and implement social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and related programming
• Lead parent and faculty workshops and trainings
