Job summary

Avonworth School District is seeking a motivated School Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance the beauty, safety, and functionality of our school grounds. You will be responsible for outdoor areas including athletic fields, landscaping, gardens, and recreational spaces to be well-kept, safe, and inviting for students, staff, and visitors.

The role requires experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance and the ability to operate landscaping equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate landscaping equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of athletic facilities and school grounds.
• Maintain grass, shrubbery and leaf removal of all District properties.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for lawns, gardens, and athletic fields; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Maintaining general condition of buildings and grounds.
• Preparation and care of athletic fields.
• Snow removal when necessary.
• Performance of other duties as assigned by supervisor.
