Job summary

Penns Grove - Carneys Point Regional SD District-Wide - Penns Grove, New Jersey is seeking a Grounds Helper to perform daily maintenance of grounds equipment and assist with the district's grounds operations.

The role reports to the Building and Grounds Supervisor; the annual salary ranges from $57,856 to $69,406 under the negotiated contract, and the position is full-time with benefits as outlined in the district agreement.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operation of grounds maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmer, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for daily cleaning and lubrication of grounds department equipment or as directed by Supervisor.
• Will be required to learn all phases of grounds department, taking directions from the Head Grounds Keeper or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Will be required to report to work on snow day early enough to clear sidewalks and parking lot by 8 a.m., unless instructed differently by Head Grounds Keeper.
• Is responsible for trash removal under the direction of Head Grounds Keeper.
• Is responsible for all other duties assigned by Head Grounds Keeper or Building and Grounds Supervisor.
