Job summary

Fingerprinting and background checks are required. Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and operating power-driven equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; valid Texas driver’s license.
• Satisfactory fingerprinting background check; drug/alcohol testing as required by policy.
• Related work experience in grounds/maintenance setting.

Responsibilities

• Mow and detail district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Care for trees, shrubs, and flowers; water, prune, fertilize, mulch, weed.
• Plant shrubs and vegetation; water grounds; apply fertilizer.
• Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish and refuse from facilities.
• Operate vehicles, equipment and tools safely and professionally.
• Inspect and adjust tools/equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with athletic field prep and transport workers/equipment to sites.
• Attend trainings and meetings to improve job skills.
