Job summary

School District 27J (Inc) is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to care for and manage school grounds, landscaping, athletic fields and parking lots. Responsibilities include snow removal, trash removal, mowing, edging, and related upkeep at the Educational Services Center location.

The role offers a full-time schedule (8 hours/day, Monday–Friday) with a temporary placement through October and hourly wage of $25.52. A valid driver's license and a post-offer background check are required.

Qualifications

• Basic communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of lawn care and grounds maintenance.
• Experience operating mowers, trimmers and related equipment.
• Valid driver's license preferred for district duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform trash removal throughout the district.
• Maintain athletic fields and tracks.
• Mow the grounds, including edging and weed trimming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
