The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District MAINTENANCE - HOUSTON, Texas is hiring a Groundskeeper. The role supports district grounds, athletic fields, and landscaping tasks with a focus on safety and reliability.

Starting date is immediate. The position offers a 261-day calendar and a starting pay of $15.00 per hour, with compensation based on verifiable experience as determined by the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate tractor and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal).
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.

Responsabilités

• Mow and detail district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Care for trees, shrubs and flowers by watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and weed control.
• Plant shrubs and vegetation.
• Assist with athletic field prep, including chalking fields.
• Water grounds and apply fertilizer.
• Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish and refuse from district facilities.
• Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures.
• Follow safety procedures; report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Keep vehicles, equipment and tools in safe operating condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.
