School Food Service Traveling Cook/Baker (2025-2026) - District Wide

Position Details

This role involves traveling to various school locations within the district to support kitchens that are short-staffed. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking, baking, and serving a variety of foods in large quantities at different school sites, which may vary daily. Additional duties include assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and providing work direction to others.

This position is for 5 hours per day, totaling 179 days per year, including 170 instructional days, 4 holidays, and 5 extended days. Contracted days will be adjusted based on the start date. This is considered a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (must provide proof upon recommendation for hire)
• Up to 10 years of comparable, verified full-time experience for new employees

Pay Range

Base pay is $30,000 annually, with a salary scale ranging from Step 0 ($14.67/hour) to Step 10 ($17.50/hour). Salary is based on the Board-approved schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. Salary calculations are based on hours per day, hourly rate, and contracted days.
