Job summary

Genuine Foods is hiring a full-time hourly Food Service Worker to serve meals at NM school sites. You will assist in food preparation, serve students and staff, and uphold USDA/National School Lunch standards while providing excellent customer service.

The role offers growth through learning culinary skills and working in a community-minded environment dedicated to nourishing students and families.

Qualifications

• Flexible and team-oriented approach.
• Experience in mid-high volume food service or restaurant.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program requirements.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and composure.
• Punctuality and adherence to attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Interest in Genuine Foods’ mission to support students’ wellbeing.
• Ability to work in a K-12 school environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all served food meets Genuine Foods quality and safety standards.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.
• Coordinate with teammates to ensure timely serving of meals.
• Keep kitchen/serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas for efficiency.
• Report issues to Site Lead or Manager on duty promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
