Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal production and service in line with district standards. You will assist with daily kitchen tasks, operate POS systems, and ensure compliance with food safety rules while delivering quality meals to students.

Ideal candidates have prior food service or cashier experience, and can read, follow directions, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Prior food service or cashier work experience.
• Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning.
• Participate in training on Food & Nutrition Services and sanitation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff and the public.
• Operate POS systems in accordance with guidelines when assigned.
• Adhere to HACCP and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform kitchen duties including prep, production, service, and cleanup.
• Assist with safe meal service and adherence to meal patterns.
• Assist with ordering, storage and inventories for supplies.
