Job summary

Township High School District 211 is seeking a General Food Service Worker for a 10-month, hourly position in Schaumburg, IL. The role prepares cold foods and pre-made items, sets up serving areas, and maintains vending and service areas.

Responsibilities include friendly service, following federal meal program requirements, keeping areas clean, sanitizing equipment, and maintaining logs. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and hold an Illinois Food Handler license. Training and duties may vary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cold food and pre-made items for serving of food.
• Set up and replenish food serving areas in compliance with serving requirements of the federal meal program.
• Provide friendly, courteous service efficiently to all customers.
• Maintain operation of vending machines.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Clean and sanitize meal service, prep, and storage areas, as well as kitchen equipment and smallwares.
• Maintain logs and records, as applicable to daily tasks.
• Complete regular training and attend in-service meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
