Chartwells K-12 is hiring for a full-time FOOD UNIT LEAD in New Shoreham, RI. The role oversees a team of food-service staff, ensuring timely, high-quality meals in a school setting. Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–2:00 PM, with no weekends. Prior food service experience required; Food Safety Certification preferred. Pay range is $26.50–$27.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Ensures quality customer service and dining experience.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages to company standards.
• Helps plan menus and plan schedules to ensure timely service.
• Responds to customer complaints in person or by email.
• Trains staff and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, etc.).
• Ensures proper cash handling per Food Accounting Manual.
