Base pay range

$30,000.00/yr - $30,000.00/yr

Job responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake, and serve a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned school site.
• Assist in other food preparation duties as directed.
• Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Train and provide work direction to others.

Position details

This position is for 4 hours per day and 179 days per year, including 170 student instructional days, 4 holidays, and 5 extended days. Contracted days will be adjusted depending on the start date. Considered full-time with benefits.

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a copy provided to HR upon recommendation for hire.
• New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. The applicant must submit the BCPS verification of experience form to prior employers.

Salary details

Step 0: $14.67/hour

Step 10: $17.50/hour

Although classified positions are paid hourly, salaries are set on a year-long contract divided into 26 paychecks. This is a ten-month position, with 4 paychecks paid at the end of June.

salary / # of pays left = gross biweekly pay
