Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a School Float Nurse – RN to support students in Lenexa, KS for the upcoming school year. You will work in school clinics and student settings, providing essential nursing care.

The role includes 1:1 support for students, g-tube and suctioning care, medication administration, and collaboration with teachers and healthcare staff. Strong documentation and safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Kansas.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year acute care experience or similar; pediatric experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Float Nurses provide care for all students, including those with a 1:1 nurse.
• Care includes g-tube, trach suctioning/care, oral suctioning, ventilator management, ostomy care, straight cath, seizure management.
• Document all care provided in the district’s student information management system.
• Assist with medication management, chronic condition management, health screenings and emergency protocols.
