Qualifications

• No experience is required; applicants may describe in their application any training and/or work experiences in janitorial, grounds maintenance, or general laboring areas.
• Calculation of experience is based on full-time, 40-hour workweeks; part-time experience pro-rated.
• Temporary Assignment (TA) experience may be used to meet minimum qualifications with documented evidence.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop floors, hallways, stairways and classrooms; maintain cleanliness of furnishings and fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms; service water fountains and wash basins.
• Assist in grounds maintenance including watering, fertilizing, mowing, and trimming hedges and shrubs.
• Move and transport furniture, equipment and supplies; load and unload materials as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and minor repairs to doors, windows and other facilities.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor polishers; remove carpet stains as needed.
