Job summary

The role ensures classrooms and common areas are well-maintained, clean, and safe for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include routine maintenance and minor repairs, preventative maintenance, grounds keeping, event setups, and responding to work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Physical ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work for events and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).
• Preventative maintenance of building systems and equipment.
• Maintain grounds, basic landscaping, snow removal, trash removal.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
• Set up and break down rooms for events, meetings, lunch, and activities.
• Identify safety hazards and repair needs.
• Ensure tools and materials are safely stored.
• Communicate maintenance needs with staff.
• Occasionally assist Parish Center and Church needs.
