Job summary

ServiceMaster Action Cleaning is seeking a School Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will perform routine cleaning and facility support duties to keep school buildings and grounds in good condition.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and gymnasiums; handling trash, maintaining supplies, and assisting with events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MUST PASS Background and Drug Screening.
• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance roles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and other school facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and furniture as needed.
• Replenish restroom and custodial supplies.
• Set up and arrange furniture, equipment, and materials for school events and activities.
• Monitor building security by locking and unlocking doors and securing facilities as assigned.
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and custodial service requests.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Support a positive and professional school environment.
