• Assist in maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel on hand.
• Regulate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.
• Follow proper safety procedures to maintain the security of the building and grounds.
• Perform minor building repairs; report major repair needs promptly.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash and waste.
• Know and follow all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the job of custodian.
• Participate in required annual safety training.
• Work in conjunction with district maintenance personnel to maintain building needs.
• Demonstrate positive customer service skills.
