Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under Alabama law.
• Demonstrated cleaning and maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods for floors, walls, and fixtures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with others.
• Ability to read plans and manage maintenance projects.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and estimate time/materials.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends or holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support school system with safe, healthy work and learning environments.
• Clean floors, walls, windows, light fixtures and plumbing fixtures.
• Operate cleaning equipment and care for lawns, plants, furniture and fixtures.
• Deliver supplies and move furniture as directed.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for safety hazards and report needs.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies and assist with purchases.
• Follow safety guidelines and school system procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively.
