Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Facilities Technician to install, repair, maintain, and upgrade facility systems and equipment at the Western Hills campuses. The role supports climate control, safety, and daily operations, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, basic electrical work, and assisting with budget preparation. Candidates must be able to lift 75 pounds, work outdoors, and travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Flex schedule and local travel may be required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and smartphone usage.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for building issues (climate control, odors, spills, emergencies).
• Monitor contractor/vendor performance to specs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• May coordinate small construction/repair projects.
• Assist with building security and respond to emergencies.
• Replace light bulbs and perform basic electrical tasks.
• Hang/dismantle furniture and coordinate moves.
• Assist with annual maintenance budget and solicit vendor bids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
