Job summary

Everest Collegiate High School & Academy in Clarkston, MI seeks a full‑time Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities include repair and safety of school facilities, buildings, grounds and event setup. Must perform varied maintenance tasks, read blueprints, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED/HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds and carpentry.
  • Operate snow removal equipment and large maintenance machinery.
  • Maintain cleaning and safety of facilities; set up events as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, safety instructions and electrical schematics.
  • Assist with classroom equipment setup, installation and repairs.
  • Follow chemical safety guidelines and proper use of supplies.
  • Lock, unlock, and secure buildings; report unauthorized occupants.
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare facilities for meetings and events; support event activities.
  • Maintain safety, code compliance, and relationships with staff and parents.
