Job summary

Brookings High School is seeking a Head Custodian to lead the custodial team, ensure cleaning and maintenance of the building and grounds, and support safety and security efforts. This full-time position offers benefits and a competitive hourly wage of $24.22.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, custodial experience, and an interest in learning basic maintenance skills in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Background checks are required for final candidates.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience preferred or related experiences.
• Interest in learning basic maintenance skills in carpentry, electrical and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staff and custodial/facilities crew leadership for cleaning and maintenance at Brookings High School.
• Provide input into performance evaluation of custodians.
• Requisition supplies and equipment to maintain inventory.
