Job summary

Tempe School District No.3 is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across district facilities in Tempe, Arizona. The role involves collaborating with other trades and ensuring fire alarm, intercom and security systems are operational.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years as a skilled electrician, and the ability to obtain the AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card and a valid AZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of experience as a skilled electrician; commercial experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain State of Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and controls including lighting systems and power distribution.
• Install electrical services for new equipment in classrooms and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and service fire alarm, intercom and security systems.
• Maintain and service intercom and security systems.
• Inspect and test electrical systems for proper functioning.
• Revamp electrical systems for remodels and renovations.
• Support schools with electrical needs for events and activities.
• Maintain records on time, labor and materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
