Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a part-time Custodian for the 2026-27 school year in the Bellevue, Washington area. Starting immediately, the role supports the Operations Department with custodial and basic maintenance tasks across school facilities.

The position requires physical work, ability to lift heavy objects, and adherence to safety practices. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and some custodial experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of verifiable, paid commercial building custodial experience preferred.
• One year of public school experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors; clean restrooms and classrooms.
• Move furniture and arrange rooms for events.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recycle; maintain grounds.
• Perform minor maintenance and report issues to supervisor.
• Ensure building security by locking doors and turning off lights when needed.
