Job summary

Fort Stockton ISD is seeking a Custodian at the Fort Stockton campus. The role reports to the Principal and involves routine cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe school environment.

Responsibilities include keeping floors and facilities in good order, assisting in meal areas, and supporting events. Qualified individuals should be able to operate cleaning equipment, lift heavy items, and read instructions for safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to handle cleaning supplies safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule for floors, chalkboards, restrooms and windows.
• Keep buildings and grounds neat and clean including sidewalks and parking areas.
• Assist with lunchroom setup and basic maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and comfort of students and staff.
• Move furniture as directed and assist in event setups.
• Open/close building daily and follow safety protocols.
