Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under state acts for employment and licensure.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work in heights or confined spaces and in varied weather.
• Experience with custodial cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow plans and lay-outs for custodial projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and exert up to 75 pounds of force.
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends, or holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide custodial and grounds keeping to maintain clean, safe school facilities.
• Scrub, mop, wax, andPolish floors according to schedules.
• Operate custodial equipment and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Deliver supplies to offices and classrooms; move or rearrange furniture as needed.
• Perform routine inspection for safety hazards and report needs.
• Respond to emergencies and perform cleanup per procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of school matters and follow board policies.
• Collaborate with team and participate in required trainings.
