Job summary

Anderson School District 3 is seeking a dedicated Custodian at Starr-Iva Middle School. This immediate opening offers a chance to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, restrooms, furniture setup, trash disposal, and assisting with events. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) with ability to follow district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of district, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and tend to the facilities of the assigned campus, including sweeping, mopping, buffering, and waxing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, changing filters and lights.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas.
• Resupply toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other supplies in restrooms.
• Transport equipment and furniture; set up chairs and tables for events.
• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, and cafeteria areas.
• Remove and dispose of trash and recycling regularly.
• Maintain and check fire extinguishers regularly.
• Manage and complete work orders.
• Be available for emergency or unplanned events.
• Assist other custodians and personnel as needed.
