Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of assigned schools and facilities under the supervision of the head custodian. The role covers a wide range of housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for students and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior cleaning experience preferred, and physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Prior experience cleaning and maintaining buildings preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of assigned schools and facilities.
• Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively.
• Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment.
• Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information.
• Performs housekeeping duties as scheduled (rooms, restrooms, soap/paper replenishment, floors, windows, dusting) and assists with building closures.
