Job summary

St. Labre Indian Catholic School is seeking a Custodian I in the Maintenance department. This 12-month, nonexempt position reports to the Custodian Supervisor and pays $12.00-$15.61 per hour. The role focuses on keeping school facilities clean, safe, and orderly.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, restocking supplies, and operating custodial equipment. Montana driver’s license preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information one-on-one with employees.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Dust and sanitize cabinets, desks, and shelves.
• Maintain paper towel and toilet paper supplies.
• Keep walls, bathrooms, doors, and entrances clean.
• Disinfect toilets, sinks, and water fountains.
• Maintain cleanliness around light fixtures and custodial rooms.
• Lock and secure paper supplies and cleaning solutions.
• Notify supervisor of repairs or problems.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment.
