Job summary

The Goddard School of Powhatan, VA is seeking a passionate School Director to oversee daily operations, support a team of educators and ensure a high-quality learning environment for children and families.

As Director, you’ll uphold brand and licensing standards, lead staff development, implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum, manage budgets and enrollment, and build strong school-family-community relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in early childhood education and 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations while upholding brand, regulatory and policy standards.
• Hire, train, supervise and support staff to build a positive, collaborative team.
• Deliver the Wonder of Learning program, sparking curiosity and growth.
• Engage families and the community to promote the school.
• Manage budget, enrollment and resources for operational success.
• Maintain a safe, clean and prepared environment for children and staff.
