Job summary

The Goddard School of Powhatan, VA is seeking a proactive School Director to oversee daily operations and support a team of educators at 1585 Oakbridge Drive, Powhatan VA 23139. You will drive quality learning, uphold licensing standards and lead staff development to ensure excellence in early childhood education.

Responsibilities include implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum, managing the budget and enrollment, and building strong relationships with families and the community to shape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• At least 3 years of teaching in early childhood education and 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of child development and team leadership.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations while upholding brand, regulatory and policy standards.
• Hire, train, supervise and support staff to build a positive, collaborative team.
• Deliver Wonder of Learning curriculum to spark curiosity and support growth.
• Build strong relationships with families and promote the school in the community.
• Manage budget, enrollment and resources for operational success.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for children, staff and visitors.
