Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking a Food Service Worker at DC - Statesmen College Prep Academy, Washington, DC. You will serve meals to students and staff, help finish preparing meals per recipe standards, and ensure USDA lunch program compliance.

Ideal candidates are flexible, team-oriented, with prior food service or customer service experience, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and eager to learn. This full-time hourly role offers benefits and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Flexible & team oriented.
• Experience in mid-high volume food service.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program rules.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic.
• Punctual and able to adhere to attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Interest in Genuine Foods’ mission to help students.
• Must be able to work in a school environment among kids K-12.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food being served meets Genuine Foods quality and safety standards.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive, upbeat attitude.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure food is ready and served on time.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize all areas of the kitchen/serving area for efficiency.
• Alert Site Lead or Manager on duty of any issues promptly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
