Elior School Dining is seeking a General Manager for school dining programs in Arkansas and Louisiana. You will lead a skilled team, manage all aspects of a school dining department, and ensure meals are served safely and on time across multiple units.

The role emphasizes staff development, budget oversight, and close collaboration with district leadership to optimize service delivery and student satisfaction in a fast-paced educational setting.

Qualifications

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a motivated, effective General Manager to our School Dining team in Arkansas & Louisiana. As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that students, faculty and clients never miss a meal.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least five years of experience coordinating food service operations in multiple units
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.

Nice-to-haves:

• Previous school dining experience under NSLP
• Previous experience with food service contract management services
• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification

Compensation Range

Up to $80,000 per year depending on experience
